Back when I first started hunting before the Internet came along my sources for great tips was basically limited to other hunters, magazines and books. The Internet came along and now there are many more resources available. Weather I am looking for late season deer hunting tactics or outfitters for hunting trips it’s all just a click away. I have been able to find so many great tips via the internet on deer hunting.

A few weeks ago I was searching the internet and I saw a story on a potential world record deer. It is a huge deer harvested in Buffalo county Wisconsin and he is a brute. I haven’t heard if he is the new record they were waiting on the 60 day drying period to have him officially scored. Any time I see the words world record deer it gets my attetion. I love looking at different articles and pictures of world record deer. They are absolutely beautiful and truely amazing. I think the whitetail buck is the most beautiful animal on the face of the earth. They are just so majestic looking. It is interesting to see where the biggest deer come from. Just about all of the big ones come from where there is a lot of agriculture crops, providing the deer with plenty of nutrition, which is essential for growing big racks. Another factor is genetics, if the buck has good genes more than likely he will have a good set of antlers. Another factor is age if he lives to be in his prime, his antlers will be bigger the closer he gets to his prime age. Obviously the new potntial recod buck from Wisconsin had all of these factors on his side. We will see what he scores soon.
