Being Outdoors Hunting Trophy Whitetails It Just Doesn’t Get Any Better

The smell of the campfire in the air brings back memories of all the deer camps that I have been in over the years. There is something about sitting around the campfire with family and friends telling stories of the days hunts that is so much fun. The grill full of deer burgers or steaks, and maybe a cold beer or two, the sky full of stars and the anticipation of the next days hunt. It is all what makes us love to be outdoors hunting.

I was in a hunting club in Columbus Georgia and I used to look forward to getting to that deer camp every weekend. We had such a good time being around all the guys and their family’s and we harvested some really nice whitetails too. Some of those guys have passed away since then but the memories that we all made I will never forget. That’s why I always encourage people to get outdoors hunting. It is a great way to make memories with your family and friends and I think when you go outdoors hunting you form a special bond with the people that you do it with.

Some of my best friends are the ones that I have hunted with over the years. We keep in touch and always talk about the past memories of our whitetail experiences and deer camps together.

My friend Brad sent me some pictures from their hunting club in Monroe county, all of them were taken within a three day period.Talk about a truck load of trophy bucks.

The best time to harvest trophy bucks is when they are in rut.

Whats the maximum load rating for that truck? I hope the DOT didn’t stop them. It looks like the big boys were in full rut. It’s always an exciting time when the big bucks go bonkers and you are there to catch them chasing does. Hunting big bucks during the rut is the best time to be in the woods if you are looking to harvest mature trophy whitetails. As you can see from this picture when the does go into estrous the trophy whitetails are most likely to be on the move chasing does. Great pictures Brad, I appreciate you sending them to me. Brad is joining our Pro-staff here at FoggyBottomOutdoors and will be filming hunts and hunting with us and we are excited about having him join the team for our new adventure here. We plan on bringing you some great action packed hunting and fishing footage in the future.  And Brad knows a thing or two about trophy whitetails.

Brad harvested this buck this year in Monroe county in Georgia, one of many trophy whitetails he has taken through the years.
